Erin has been teaching swim lessons since 2010 to all ages and skill levels. Her competitive swimming career started at age 14 on a summer team, continued at Spalding, and into college at Coastal Carolina University. In her adult years she returned to competitive swimming by joining a Masters Swim team. Erin also enjoys getting in the ocean and scuba diving. Water safety is of the utmost importance and is something she teaches to ALL students in her lessons.

Lois Wist
Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Water Aerobics Instructor, Aqua Arthritis Instructor
Lois is a lifelong teacher, she retired from AACPS and is now teaching water aerobics and swim lessons. Lois has a love of teaching toddlers and up how to master the basics, get comfortable in the water and develop a love of swimming. Lois is also a water aerobics instructor at SPRFC! She teaches Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Aerobics at 7 am and our Thursday 10 am Aqua Jam class!
Lois teaches: Ages 3+, beginner and intermediate

Russell Platt

Russell takes inspiration from his own coaches and mentors and started teaching swim lessons in 2015. He has been a Stingrays Swim Coach at SPRFC since 2016 and has a love for the sport Russell teaches/coaches swim lessons because he believes that learning safety around the water is an important life skill, and that lessons should be affordable and accessible to everyone.

Tracey Hurst

Tracey has a passion for helping students become aquatic problem-solvers. She has been able to provide ISR’s life-saving program to more than 8,500 families throughout the state of Maryland for more than 18 years now.Not only does Tracey specialize in teaching self rescue lessons, she teaches all her students with a scientific approach to overcome fear and progress any student from beginner to a confident, competent, and competitive swimmer. Tracey strives to improve technique so her students can reach their swim goals. Tracey is happy to embrace the given nickname of being the “Swim Whisperer”.
Tracey teaches: Ages 6-months+ to adult, all skill levels
